walls are known to have ears

and if they could talk

they would have wailed in despair

grieving for the loss



within these walls

births and deaths had weaved their presence

laughters too once heard

and tears shed



these walls bear witness to

years of memories

yours-mine

the whole tapestry of our family

now sad and abandoned
